Grace is indeed a gem. Throughout this book, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Apea admonishes
and encourages readers to take their faith seriously by drawing on contemporary
issues to highlight key themes in the book of Romans. Making the scriptures
accessible is its key strength, and our prayer for you as you use this book in
your daily walk with the Lord, is that you will clearly hear Paul say:
"Therefore,
I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies
as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper
worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s

Reverend
Emmanuel Apea, PhD was born in Anum, Ghana and schooled at Achimota School,
University of Ghana Legon, The University of Sydney (Australia) and Trinity
Theological Seminary in the USA. While he is now primarily involved in teaching
and coordinating the STEE program at Pentecost University College in Sowutuom,
he has been actively involved in leading several Christian Groups
(e.g.NextLevel Leadership, UNESCO Christian Fellowship – Paris), and NGO’s
(President of West African Association of Science Teachers, Vice-President of
CASTME). While his work with The Commonwealth Secretariat and UNESCO (Chief of
Section & later Director) took him around the globe, his leadership in
setting up churches in the UK and France, nurturing young Christians and
empowering those in Christian leadership in Ghana (especially women) has
brought him much joy. Although he is officially retired, he is a much loved
lecturer, coach, confidante and ‘daddy’ to many who consider him one of the
foremost spiritual leaders of our time. Reverend Apea has been happily married
to Mrs. Emma Apea since 1967 and they make their home in Pokuase, Ghana.
Together, they enjoy spending time with their five children and twelve
grandchildren as well as their many more ‘spiritual children’ all around the
world.
